Job Description:/h3:

The Facility Manager is responsible for managing the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings and other facilities. The position plans, budgets and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs.


1. Management of facility systems to include, HVAC, compressed air systems, USP purified water systems, boilers,
fire/pump/sprinkler systems, etc.
2. Management of outside contractors when needed to manage facility systems.
3. Oversees any facility modifications/new construction from design to installation.
4. Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services, and facility expansion.
5. Plans, budgets and schedules facility maintenance and modifications, including cost estimates.
6. Management of facility personnel.
7. Manages the receiving and location of new equipment and facility supplies.
8. Manages preventive maintenance and responds to the proper operations of facility equipment, including but not limited to HVAC, USP purified water systems, boilers, compressed air systems, fire pumps/sprinkler systems, and office equipment.
9. Responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of facility.
10. Develops and administers the annual budget.
11. Must assist in managing a safe and clean work environment in all areas of the business.

1. Required
a. BS or associate degree with technical training in plant engineering or factory/plant maintenance.
b. Must have a strong sense of urgency and is improvement and quality driven.
c. Good oral and written communication skills.
d. Ability to read and write in English.
e. Customer/Client Focus.
f. Communication Proficiency.
g. Problem Solving/Analysis.
h. Project Management.

2. Preferred Additional
a. Two or more years experience in a cGMP environment is preferred.


1. Experience in HVAC, construction, USP Water Systems, and other facility related equipment.
2. Electrical experience preferred.
3. Ability to read and understand blue prints, electrical diagrams, and other facility related drawings.
4. Extra considerations offered to candidates with cGMP, FDA and/ medical device experience.
5. Experience with CAD and Visio.
6. Ability to lift 15:25 pounds on a regular basis.
7. Must be in good physical condition and have the ability to work on heavy equipment.


Proficient in the use of Visio and CAD or other related drafting software.

Education and/or Training

BS or Associate degree with technical training in plant engineering or factory/plant maintenance.
