Job Description:/h3:
Insurance Sales Agents are responsible for providing information and prices to clients on the products and services of Direct, and closing sales on those products to develop long:term relationships for Direct with existing or prospective clients. Agents also assist in the development and execution of insurance sales and marketing campaigns that may extend outside the center to attain business goals and profitable growth for the company. Individuals in this role will assist phone customers, may assist walk:in customers and support channel partners in both retail offices and web operations.
:Inbound, outbound and potentially face to face multi:media contact with new and existing clients to discuss their needs, explain insurance and emphasize benefits of various product offerings based on analysis of those needs
:Quote prices on products and/or services and answer any related questions
:Sell and complete applications, as well as bind automobile and life insurance policies for clients, including new business, renewals and endorsements
:Assist clients with electronic signature (e:sign) of their paperwork, and follow up on signed paperwork on any clients who do not choose to complete this option
:Support channel partners, marketing programs and initiatives which further the Direct General brand and growth of the company
:Meet and exceed sales goals through new product sales, lead generation and follow up, cross selling, retention of current customers, and referrals from existing customers
:Uphold the highest levels of integrity and provide exceptional customer service during all touch points with both internal and external clients
:Understand, promote and remain current on company underwriting guidelines, announcements, and memos related to changes in company policies and procedures
:Responsible for sales administration and reporting activities.
:Ensure applications and paperwork are completed accurately and in a timely manner
:Other duties as assigned
:High School Diploma/equivalent required, college experience a plus
:Active State Property/Casualty license required
:Life/Health Licenses a plus
:Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
:Minimum 1 year successful business:to:consumer sales experience, ideally within the insurance industry
:Strong demonstrated ability to market and sell in multi:product environment where cross selling and customer retention is essential to sales goal attainment.
:Excellent interpersonal skills including written, verbal and presentation delivery with ability to clearly communicate the features and benefits of insurance and other ancillary products to customers
:Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain customer relationships and provide excellent customer service
:Knowledge of insurance laws, regulations and processes, ability to analyze and interpret insurance policies and insurance coverage and/or experience in working in a compliance and regulatory environment strongly preferred.
:Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook Email, Word and Excel.
Applicants must be available to work a flexible schedule Monday: Friday and every other Saturday 8am until 6pm.
