Description of Job
The Government Operations Consultant II is responsible for overseeing the in:plant inspection program (IPIA), the dealer lot inspection program and the manufacturer and dealer consumer complaint programs including overseeing the functions of the State Administrative Agency (SAA) Program. This position is responsible for ensuring that the section has high quality insurance measures in place, proper surveillance and documentation; and reporting maintenance to study industry trends and working with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Institute for Business Technology and Safety (IBTS) and IPIA Performance Review (IPR) audits. This position also oversees the quality assurance for the installer program; ensures accurate inspections for the retrofitted homes; and ensures random inspections of homes and inspections of homes arising out of consumer complaints are conducted and documented in accordance with Florida Administrative Codes 15C 1 and 2, Federal Code of Regulations, 24 parts and HUD. Preference will be given to applicants with experience:
Dealing with mobile/manufactured home construction and/or inspection.
Working in a Mobile Home/manufactured home manufacturing plant.
Working with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Florida Real:Time Vehicle Information System (FRVIS).
Providing customer service, preparing reports and performing quality assurance and conducting audits.
With Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry and/or Blue Print Reading.
With Federal Housing and/or a Government Regulatory program
Filing, organizing and/or maintaining records.
Preference will also be given to applicants who have a Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
Specific knowledge of all phases of mobile/manufactured home construction and installation is required.
This position requires the incumbent to have and maintain a valid drivers license in good standing. A drivers license history review will be conducted on all candidates in consideration for the position.
Hours will vary and/or be extended when traveling to and working at the site(s) of storm/hurricane affected areas for damage assessment. Out:of:state travel is required.
