We are conducting a nationwide search for an experienced hotel general manager with at least 3 years of hotel general manager experience. We are located in the Tampa Bay Area and will consider candidates from all areas.
General Description
:Oversee and direct the daily operations for the Front Office, Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Food and Beverage departments
:Designs and implements systems and procedures to ensure that operations are in line with the property
:Responsible for directing, implementing and maintaining a service and management philosophy which serves as a standard to respective department heads and staff. Responsible for design and implementation of training programs for departments to exceed standard service and operational standards as set by Hotel Brand
:Develops and implements strategies to ensure seamless service delivery while maximizing revenue and managing costs
:Recruits, supervises and develops the performance of all employees operating departments including: Front Office/Guest Services, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, and Maintenance, to ensure the highest levels of guest and employee satisfaction in a cost efficient manner
:Assists in the protection and enhancement of all hotel assets through appropriate programs in maintenance, security and housekeeping as well as through the capital budgeting process
:Manages all third:party relationships to ensure seamless service delivery
:Approaches all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service orientated manner
:Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming, in compliance with company standards
:Complies and ensures adherence to Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage a safe and efficient hotel operation
:Ensures the efficient operation of the hotel by supervising and supporting the guest services, engineering, accounting, sales, food and beverage, and housekeeping departments
1. Coordinate all Special Events : making sure never to over book the hotel during these times and all requests are handled in a timely fashion. Always keeping in mind the needs of our guests first. Coordinate all related tasks to insure the Special Events run smoothly : i.e. schedule Security for those times it is necessary, reserve extra roll away beds, etc. Work closely with other departments to coordinate details, and special requests.
2. Reconcile the daily cash log and night audit reports.
3. Handle all Meeting Room requests and notify hotel department heads of the same. Prepare and distribute function sheets at the weekly Management Meeting.
4. Coordinate the delivery of requested equipment and food for the Meeting Room with other departments.
5. Develop and post tri:weekly work schedule of Front Desk Employees. Provide support to the Front Desk at peak times, by answering the telephone, taking messages and assisting guests to check:in and checkout of the hotel.
6. Proficient in the use of hotel systems. Working knowledge of how the systems work hand:in: hand.
7. Retrieve reports from the intranet in a timely fashion.
8. Able to assist all Front Desk Associates in the use of Training Program.
9. Responsible for Accounts Payable. Making sure all invoices are paid in a timely fashion.
10. Responsible for the Accounts Receivable. Maintain balances with all Direct Bill Accounts. Coordinate with Sales the status of all Direct Bill accounts and their balances. Weekly audits on all Accounts.
11. Coordinate and administer the daily transmittal of cash and checks to the bank.
12. Able to perform Night Auditor Duties.
13. Balance Hotel books at the end of each period. Prepare audit reports for end of period. Send End of Period reports to Corporate on the 1st day of each new period.
14. Ensure an employee attitude of attentiveness and anticipation of guest needs.
