Medicaid Eligibility ManagerJob Summary – The Medicaid Eligibility Manager is responsible for providing supervision of theday-to-day operations of the Medicaid Shared Service Center (SSC) Eligibility Staff and FacilityPublic Benefits Coordinators (PBC). The Manager is responsible for guiding the staff in their day today responsibilities which includes ensuring accounts are worked in accordance with the Parallonpolicies. Managers are also responsible for mentoring and training them as needed.Supervisor – Medicaid Eligibility DirectorSupervises – Medicaid Eligibility Supervisor and Public Benefits CoordinatorsDuties (included but not limited to): Serves as designee and representative for the division and/or Director of Medicaid Eligibilityin the Directors absence Identify staffing needs and communicate those needs to the Director of Medicaid Eligibility Screen interview and hire new employees Arrange training for new employees and monitor through Healthstream Facilitate bi-weekly user group meetings to ensure Public Benefit Coordinators (PBC) aregiven the opportunity to provide feedback to the SSC Receive and review statistical documents from Financial Analyst and communicates trendsto the appropriate disciplines Monitor productivity and ensure staff are meeting the goals Work daily management reports to ensure accounts are flowing through the processestimely and accurately. Works with DCF liaison regarding agreements and contracts, and informs corporate ParallonAVP Medicaid Programs of DCF contract changes Completes monthly reconciliation process to ensure systems are in sync and communicateswith Vendor Collections Management (VCM) any actions needed based on thereconciliation Monitors the Medicaid Eligibility tool to ensure all accounts are being updatedappropriately Monitor the ME Tool pending accounts to ensure the PBC is working them timely Review each staff member’s productivity on a monthly basis and perform quarterly/annualevaluations Counsel staff with disciplinary and productivity issues Work as a liaison between the Medicaid Eligibility Vendor staff and PBC Attends Quarterly meetings to ensure we are following the most current state regulations Maintains a working relationship with Department of Children and Families (DCF) Conduct monthly staff Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and ValueStatement” Other duties as assigned
