Director of National Marketing

The Director of National Marketing will be responsible for the development of strategies and tactics designed to drive system traffic, revenue and growth. The strategic direction provided by this position will be a consistent representation of a restaurant brand through leadership and guidance, as it relates to creative vision and services, local marketing efforts and collaboration for the development of communications programs. The position is also responsible for the development and implementation of advertising initiatives including radio, print, online, social, SEO optimization, in:store, etc. and developing internal, sustainable marketing capabilities through mentoring, training and development. This position reports directly to the brands leadership team.
Required Skills and Professional Qualifications:
RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE IS A MUST. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH A RESTAURANT CHAIN, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY. A RESUME WITH 100 GRAPHIC DESIGN EXPERIENCE ONLY WILL NOT QUALIFY FOR THIS POSITION.
:Bachelors degree in marketing, advertising or hospitality management.
:Minimum of 5 years Marketing and/or Advertising experience, proven performance against goals and objectives, with demonstrated success of building strong restaurant brand(s).
:Restaurant experience a must.
:A proven ability to transform current restaurant marketing trends and information into profitable strategies for the business.
:Proficiency in market analysis, budgeting, planning and P and Ls.
:The ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
:Professional written, verbal and presentation skills : especially in large group settings.
:Strong organizational and people skills, the ability to effectively create and deliver presentations, the ability to set appropriate priorities and use time effectively.
:Demonstrated analytical, creative, problem solving skills focused on driving results. Must be able to effectively work in a team environment.
:Additional skills and qualifications may be required
Travel: Some travel to be expected (approximately 20 of the time to include new unit openings and one annual meeting.
