POSITION SUMMARY: Ensures a high level of customer service and patient satisfaction of Food & Nutrition Services. Oversees food service-related activities, including patient care, retail services, including cafeteria, catering, and quality improvement, sanitation, infection control and all hospital-related activities. Supervises all patient services staff (tray line, diet clerks and/or FANS assistants) as well as coordinates the provision of patient food services to insure quality food for patients. This includes quality assurance initiatives and the maintenance of Computrition programs pertaining to patient care. Also included are high levels of customer service, strong nursing and other ancillary department relationships.
