Job description

The Identity Product Manager Director determines the Identity product strategy on a global basis and is accountable for developing, launching enhancing and implementing the mobile identity suite that constitutes of the Number Identity (NIS) and User identity Services. The identity product suite represents a key component of the Syniverse Enterprise Solutions Group (ESG). The Identity Product Management Director leads all activities related to definition, launch and evolution of the identity product suite including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, working with internal and external parties to ensure identity revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic individual that had previous experience in launching mobile identity solutions in the enterprise market. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, energetic, efficient and resourceful team player.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Be customer-facing: this person’s “customer” is Sales and the Enterprise/Brand Marketing, Executive, and Product teams
• Be responsible for Product vision and user experience, roadmap vision and high-level roadmap prioritization, pricing, gross margin, go-to-market strategy and execution, competitive analysis and positioning, relative investment level of dev across products, commercial P&L 360 degree view
• Be the subject matter expert on the product’s business and determine competitive landscape, including cost and price
• Co-ordinate the creation of sales collateral, marketing communications and references or success stories
• Serve as lead product representative to internal teams across architecture, account management, delivery, operations, support, finance, legal, security
• Provide strategic direction in product development and lead the technical product managers who execute the technical roadmap supporting product roadmap, roadmap prioritization of technical issues, architectural decisions with Development, technology partnership decisions with Development and technological differentiation against competition
• Work with a collaborative can do spirit across dependent products and solutions to enable the vision and business value for the ESG team
• Assure that products are developed on schedule, within budget, and meet customer needs and requirements
• Establish and lead rollout planning with vendors and delivery teams (i.e. Development, Sourcing, Marketing, Operations, Sales) and track adoption and growth to meet and exceed goals globally
• Act as a thought leader by participating in public presentations, demos and company or industry events

Knowledge Requirements:
• Must be creative in inserting product into various verticals and designing use cases, excel at presenting the product vision and roadmap to customers, able to understand the competition and create and explain Syniverse uniqueness
• Must be good at adapting to market change, enhancing and modifying the product to adapt, creating new solutions from existing products, leading the industry, educating and selling and listening to the customer
• Must be able to set vision and requirements to identify and extract value from correlation of private and public data sources
• Must be able to identify the key data sources and drive negotiation with external vendors
• Must have “can do” attitude and previous experience with start-up environments
• 8-10 years’ experience in product management delivering innovative mobile identity services
• Knowledgeable of enterprise space and able to manage go-to market process and product launches in a B2B market environment
• Firm understanding of cloud based technology solutions in Infrastructure, Software and Platform as a Service environment
• Experience in positioning products/services in the Financial Services, Retail, Travel and/or Hospitality markets
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills to successfully and persuasively present plans and results to multiple audiences
• Strong leadership capabilities and negotiation skills with the ability to motivate others
• Excellent understanding of financial principles helpful to perform budget and business case for product and capital deployment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel required
• BS or BA degree, in a business or technical discipline (MBA preferred)
