POSITION OVERVIEW: Admiral Farragut Academy seeks an engaging and energetic full-time STEM teacher to teach engineering, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), 3D printing, robotics programming, and general shop-building skills to students in 8th-12th grades, starting in August 2018. KEY COMPONENTS OF THE JOB INCLUDE: Provide instruction in engineering, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), 3D printing, robotics programming, and general shop-building skills Curriculum planning Classroom management Technology integration Parent communication Project-based learning Differentiated instruction SMART board use EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required. Preferred: Valid Florida teaching certificate for the level and subject area to be taught. EXPERIENCE: Previous high-school teaching experience preferred, including technology-enhanced instruction. *An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job may be acceptable in lieu of those requirements listed above.
