MD Lic Medical Doctor The Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Medical Oncologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level for its Endocrine Oncology Program. As part of an integrated Department of Head and Neck, and Endocrine Oncology, the Program draws on the expertise of the multiple specialties necessary to provide a full range of services for patients with endocrine tumors. As one of the leading Endocrine Oncology Programs in the Country, we are committed to developing a fully integrated Academic Endocrine Oncology Program, including state-of-the-art clinical care, education, Clinical Trials, translational and outcomes research, and laboratory based research. Moffitt Faculty participate in the education of medical students and Residents of the University of South Florida Medical School, and a wide range of Fellowship programs, based both at Moffitt Cancer Center, and at the University of South Florida. Endocrine Oncology Program Faculty are engaged in the education of Endocrine Fellows, Medical Oncology Fellows, Fellows in Complex Surgical Oncology, and Head and Neck Surgical Fellows. We also have a robust Visiting Scholar Program, attracting highly skilled Clinicians and Investigators from around the World to participate in our research and clinical programs. The Moffitt Cancer Center is affiliated with the University of South Florida. Moffitt Faculty are recommended for courtesy appointments in the University Department of Oncologic Sciences, at an Academic rank commensurate with qualifications and experience. Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, is the third largest of the NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers by patient volume, encompassing a large ambulatory care facility, a 206-bed cancer hospital, with a 36-bed blood and marrow transplant program, 15 state of the art operating suites, a 30 bed intensive care unit, a high volume screening program, and a basic science research facility. The Moffitt Research Institute is comprised of approximately 150 Principal Investigators, 58 laboratories, and 306,000 square feet of research space. Application Requirements Successful candidates must have an MD, DO, or equivalent and be board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine. Candidate must also have completed a Fellowship in Medical Oncology. Endocrine Oncology experience is desirable, while experience in a multidisciplinary Academic clinical practice setting, with active participation in clinical trials, is preferred.
