Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves as the liaison with Billing Hub analyzing patterns and trends, coordinating with Billing Hub, clinics and program managers to ensure that reimbursement revenue is maximized, staff are trained as appropriate, performing fee schedule maintenance and price changes, monitoring on:going aged receivable reports, clearing up aged claims prior to association with Billing Hub, performing manual billing, update Billing Hub on any provider enrollment or credentialing issues or changes in scope of service provision, scan denial correspondence into Check Denials to Work folder, within 3 business days of receipt of Collections and Write:offs Report shall review and submit Collections and Write:off Reports to Administrator for review and signing, scans copies of contracts for services and insurance contracts that may impact billing into Contracts/Insurance folder, daily scans in documentation of electronic funds transfers to EFTs to Post folder, scans miscellaneous information into Miscellaneous Information for Hernando folder. Performs weekly Medicare transmission of claims and remains current on new technologies or procedures that will affect the billing process, and runs and reconciles the HMS Services Not Billed Report not less often than every 5 business days.
Responsible for assigned grants, local agreements, local billings which includes tracking payments, tracking agreements, and working to set up new agreements as necessary. Reconciles Nutrition Program payments and tracking invoicing and assists with rabies billing as needed.
Assist with ensuring all invoices are processed timely in compliance with F.S. 215.422 and DOH Finance and Accounting Internal Operating Procedure IOP 56:23:17. Responsible for reconciling P:card transactions monthly for DOH:Pasco
Conducts the quarterly cash count and assists with the Pharmacy inventory as required. Monitors compliance of the mandatory requirements of Florida Statutes Section 627.6131 and 381.0407 as well as Chapter 3A:24 of the Florida Administrative Code.
Adheres to security and confidentiality policies and procedures of the Florida Department of Health, the State of Florida, and Federal Guidelines.
Maintains a working knowledge of Financial Eligibility Processes, Accounts Receivable Policy (DOHP 56:66:13), Medicaid Handbooks and approved online systems. Acts as the access custodian providing and revoking access to employees and partners.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities, Including Utilization of Equipment required for the position:
