Job Description We are searching for auditors and tax professionals who have public accounting experience at a big four or comparable accounting firm. The search is in Tampa Bay and New York. We also will accept candidates in BOS/PROV, CHI, Denver and Memphis. We are looking for seniors and managers only . Candidates can expect to work an average of 40 hours per week and 50 – 52 hours per week during the busy season. Audit/Tax Job Description Our clients serve the country’s growing mid-market public and private businesses by providing high quality audit and attest services along with all other accounting, tax and consulting services. We are looking for auditors and tax professionals who have public accounting experience at a big four or comparable accounting firm We are looking for Audit/Tax Seniors and Managers. Candidates can expect to work an average of 40 hours per week and 50 – 52 hours per week during the busy season, an average of 10-20 hours less a week than most accounting firms. Candidates ideally should have experienced 4-6 busy seasons. A more seasoned candidate, or a candidate who was a functioning CFO/controller at a private company could prove useful. Audit/Tax Senior Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation or related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in public accounting or related field preferred. 1+ year supervisory experience preferred. CPA candidates preferred. Excellent interpersonal, analytical, research and audit project management skills, including proficiency in GAAP and GAAS rules, procedures and standards. Must be able to travel based on client and business needs. As a key member of the team, the Audit/Tax Senior is responsible for: Managing, understanding and assisting with planning multiple assignments in Manufacturing, Distribution, Not-For-Profit and Benefits Plans and many more industries Understanding of client's business, and becoming a proactive "functional expert" in the area. Execute the day-to-day activities of engagements; including managing the budget, planning, executing, directing staff and completing financial statements/returns/audits. · Pledge to provide exceptional service to every client by providing individual attention, responsiveness and commitment to understanding their needs, - as well as upselling services when appropriate. Compensation: Seniors typically make between $60,000 and $80,000. Managers range from $80,000 - $100,000.
