Oversee all adjusting aspects of Casualty Claims team and examining functions and employees for litigated and non:litigated homeowner Casualty claims. Responsible for aligning actions to ensure achievement of key organizational initiatives. In conjunction with Claims leadership, establishes specific goals for claims handling and develops and implements a tactical plan to support goal attainment relative to productivity, loss ratio, loss and loss adjustment expenses and other agreed upon metrics. Will be responsible for reporting and ensuring goals are achieved by the team.Provide day to day administrative and technical supervision of a staff of Claims Adjusters and Examiners whose primary tasks are the adjudication, settlement and examination of Casualty claims over the phone and through written and electronic correspondence.Oversee staff adjusters and examiners to ensure that file handling meets company standards and statutory guidelines. Reviews daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly company claim runs produced by company automation system.Maintains professional service standards and good working relationships with clients, companies and associates.Establishes and ensures compliance of approved work flow and file maintenance procedures.Submits periodic consolidated reports with appropriate comments to management and conducts quarterly business reviews with UPC preferred defense firms nationally.Performs other related duties as assigned.Written Communication SkillsOral Communication SkillsComputer LiteracyCustomer ServiceDiplomacyMath AptitudeOrganizationPlanningPresentationReading SkillsTime Management Education/Experience:Bachelors degree; minimum of ten (10+) years of experience handling first party homeowners Casualty claims including at least 5 years handling field investigations and litigation aspect of Casualty claims. In addition, at least three (3+) years of leadership experience and one or more of the following industry designations: AIC, SCLA, AIM, AU. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of seventeen (15+) years of experience in Casualty claims handling; minimum of five (5+) years of management experience; and must have the CPCU designation.
